Description

Terminal Doppler Weather (TDWR) Transmit Control Module (TCM) Service Life Extension Program (SLEP) has provided TDWR sites with new technology from engineering sustainment efforts. Current conditions at remote sites using the new TCM hardware indicate Electromagnetic Interferences (EMI) which prevent consistent operation. In an effort to minimize the unknown EMI effects on the system, specifically the TCM, RF decoupling efforts have been attempted with the TCM enclosure. This resulted in designing an I/O interface to the TCM to prevent induced RF noise to the sensitive control module assembly.
