Description

UPDATE 01:

The proposal due date remains unchanged.

The purpose of this update is to provide Questions and Answers.

QUESTION 1. Could you please confirm the quantity (foot) required on each reels? As per the document, You have requested for 40K feet (the 40k feet means 40,000 feet). So please check and let us know the exact quantity required on each LOT.

FAA RESPONSE: The FAA confirms that '40K FT Reel' stated in the RFQ document is the same as '40,000 feet per reel'. To further clarify, the first lot of three (3) reels will be a cumulative total of 120,000 feet of cable; however, the FAA requires each reel to consist of 40,000 feet each for manageability purposes during installation efforts.

QUESTION 2. Are you accepting any alternative for this opportunity?

FAA RESPONSE: No, the FAA cannot consider alternatives to either the material specification or delivery schedule stated in the RFQ document. This requirement is supporting a larger, ongoing, and partially completed effort. To consider another product, a significant re-investment would be required concerning the host systems' configuration, and replacement of already completed work to achieve a uniform standardization for supportability concerns. As such, other products proposed will not be accepted or considered for award.

(end of update)
