This is a Notice of Intent to make a Sole Source Award for Safety Boots.
Description
THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENDED SOLE SOURCE AWARD. Mission and Installation Contracting Command, Fort Sill, Oklahoma, intends to award a SOLE SOURCE BPA to Woodward’s Occupational Footwear, 115 West Main Street, Cyril, OK 73049. This requirement is for on-site sizing of individual Fire Station Boots, Physical Training (PT) shoes, and steel toe safety shoes via a mobile vehicle/store to facilitate sizing and delivery of boots. Regulations require that the Fort Sill Fire Department provide each member with protective ensembles, ensemble elements, and protective equipment designed to provide protection from hazards to which the member is likely to be exposed and that is suitable for the tasks the member is expected to perform. In accordance with AR-420- 90-1-19, Installation/garrisons will provide personal protective equipment that meets DODI 6055.6; Station wear is considered personal protective equipment and shall comply with NFPA 1975; Station/Work Uniforms for Fire and Emergency Services (F&ES). Personal Protective Equipment. Per 29 CFR 132, General requirements; 136, Foot Protection. Woodward's Occupational Footwear has provided Safety Boots to ensure compliance with procedures and key control as outlined in AR 380-5 and AR 190-13. The DNA Fusions AECS Millstone Safety Boots fully meets the regulatory requirements as outlined in Army Regulation (AR) 380-5, Information Security.
This requirement shall be Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) as a firm fixed price contract. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 316210, size standard 1,000. This proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit or negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.5. Interested persons may identity their interest and capability to respond to the requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, all capabilities received within seven (7) calendar days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received shall be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
